In Haiti, 80% of children in orphanages have at least one living parent!
They are often abandoned with the hope of a better future and yet too often it is situations of abuse, violence and neglect that are postponed. Our desire is to be able to help families at risk and to equip parents to take better care of their children. We support parents by encouraging them in their role and offering them a listening ear. We help with the children’s schooling and offer support for medical care if necessary. This is done according to the needs of the family.
Sometimes we give diapers and clothes for a newborn or a food pack. But our goal is that these families can become as independent as possible and for this we support the creation of businesses. We are already supporting 12 families and our desire is to be able to support more.
